Background of COVID-19

COVID-19 was first noted with three people who were suffering from pneumonia in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The disease spread across the Wuhan region and later to other parts of the world as it was found to be highly communicable. It is essential to note that the causative agent of the disease was found out to be the new Coronavirus (2019-nCov) on 7th January 2020, and the World Health Organization named the disease COVID-19. The major mode of transmitting COVID-19 is human to human. Most of the countries around the globe adopted various measures to curb the spread of the disease. The most basic measures of curbing the spread of COVID-19 were given by the World Health Organization who advised individuals on three basic measures, which included wearing masks, observing social distance and sanitizing regularly or washing hands regularly.

Most governments also adopted other measures in addition to the guidelines given by the World Health Organization related to disposable vapes . Some of the ways adopted by various governments included restricting flights where most of the countries closed completely their borders. In other countries, some lockdowns barred the movement of people from one place to another. Also, most of the employed people in most organizations and companies were persuaded to work from their homes. In addition to that, public gatherings were abolished to avoid many people from coming together. This included the closure of places of worship and other entertainment joints, such as clubs, hotels, gymnasiums, and restaurants. All this is aimed at compacting the spread of the COVID-19. As a result of various restrictions, most organizations and companies had to shut down their operations and others were forced to retrench employees. All most all the sectors of the economy were affected due to the various measures put forward to curb the spread of the disease.
